Marbles for us!

When our family decided that we would start breeding the Bengal we decided to start by having 2 bengals as pets to learn about the breed first and to see that this breed was for us. Even though we had been breeding cats for some time we were hesitant to jump in to a different breed. To cut a long story short we ended up with 3 d/sexed Bengal pets and it was not to long before we realized that this was the breed for us and it became our passion!

Our main goal when starting was to breed silver and brown spotted and rosetted and not to go into the marble. All the marbles that we had seen here in Australia were really not what we thought they were meant to be representing. And this turned us away from the marble patterning. Up to this point, we were lucky, not to have produced any ourselves despite some of our cats carrying them.

All of this changed after we were visiting family in the USA and saw the quality of their marble bengals and WOW it just blew my mind. Well I just can’t describe the excitement that I felt when I saw these magnificent cats, that were so far from what I had heard people put them in to the category of “it just looks like a moggy”
This is when we decided to import some of our own.

We quite often here people tell us that they don’t like them and they are positive that they want a spotted cat, only to come and visit us and walk away with a marble. Or to see them and say they will be back for a marble lol.
And they say wow! marbles are sooooooo different when you see them in person, and this is true, it is very hard to take photos of them, all cats/kittens move so much and it is hard to get a shot that does their pattern justice. And also it takes so much longer for there pattern to come to its full potential, even after the fuzzies than what a spotted Bengal does.

The marble patterning has a bad rap especially here in our country and they need to be seen in a new light. So we felt that they deserve their own page on our website so show off their true beauty. We hope that you become as enthralled with them as we are.
